Virgin Mobile has announced that they carrier will start selling the iPhone 5 next Friday, June 28. The carrier already sells the iPhone 4/4S with their $35 unlimited ($5 discount with auto payments) data/messaging plan, and the iPhone 5 will be able to take advantage of the plan as well.
The "unlimited" plans offer high speed data for 2.5GBs and after that the user is throttled.
Users can pick up the 16GB iPhone for $549.99 (32GB and 64GB versions are available for $649.99 and $749.99) and use that with Virgin's Beyond Talk plan and have unlimited data, messaging and 300 minutes for $35 a month. Virgin mobile is a division of the Sprint network, so coverage/speeds will be similar to Sprint.
Virgin Mobile USA will launch the iPhone 5 on Friday, 6/28/12 on its Beyond Talk plans, with unlimited 3G/4G LTE data and messaging* starting at $35 per month but customers can also receive a $5 per-month plan discount when they register and sign up for automatic monthly payments [“Auto Pay”] with a credit card, debit card or PayPal account, making the iPhone 5 available on Virgin Mobile for as low as $30 per month**.
