Production of Retina displays for the new iPad mini are at the same levels as production was for last years first generation iPad mini, according to IHS iSuppli via CNET.
"Based [what] we are seeing in the [production] pipeline...The volumes are similar to the iPad Mini that we saw in Q4 of last year," said Vinita Jakhanwal, director of mobile & emerging displays at IHS iSuppli, referring to display production.
Apple is expected to launch new iPad models in October. The iPad mini is said to feature a 7.9-inch Retina display with a resolution of 2,048x1,536. That wiould give it a pixel density of about 324 ppi.
