Martin Hajek, the designer who created the recent Apple TV concept with a touchscreen remote, has released a new variation on the design which features a gaming controller.
Feedback on the original concept sparked the idea for the gaming controller, says Hajek. Apple is rumored to be bringing gaming and Bluetooth controller support to the Apple TV this month.
Take a look at the images below or click here to see the original touchscreen remote.

The awkward moment when a concept looks way better than any Apple TV. This guy should work at Apple INSTEAD OF Ive.

Thanks for revealing your strategy as if someone reveals their payback to a hero. Nice logic. Name changing changes nothing though.

Come one guys, roku has more buttons than Apple TV remote, this could be their chance to make a new feature it hasn't yet with new buttons. I like the idea.

your right, Nintendo uses buttons. Lets use a jump pad to control. One jump for left, 2 jumps for right, 3 jumps for up, and 4 jumps for down, 5 jumps for diagonal up/right, 6 jumps for diagonal up/left, 7 jumps for diagonal down/right, 8 jumps for diagonal down/left. Now lets figure out how to not use the a/b/x/y buttons. I'm sure it's not enough for you to simply rename them - so let's hear your bright idea for redesigning the controller.
