Study Finds People in Tech Cities Prefer iOS Over Android

People who live in tech hubs such as the Bay Area or New York prefer Apple's iOS over Google's Android OS, according to data gathered by Crittercism (via Recode), a mobile application management company.

The study found that those in living in San Francisco, New York and San Diego are among the cities where users are most likely to own an iPhone, whereas those in cities such like San Antonio, Phoenix and Detroit are most likely to own an Android device. The data came from an analysis of performance data from over a billion of its active users worldwide.

While the firm’s data suggests that Apple mobile devices are far more popular than Android competitors in some major American metro areas, Android still leads the U.S. in overall share of the mobile market.

By the end of last year, about 156 million people in the U.S. owned smartphones. Phones running some version of Android had about 51.5 percent of the market, according to market research firm comScore. Apple had about 42 percent market share with BlackBerry and Windows phones accounting for most of the rest.

The iPhone 5 was found to be more popular than the iPhone 5s in all but two of the largest metro areas in the US, the study found.

So much data mining these aggregates gather from our phones and web surfing capturing beacons they insert in nearly every website you go to.

Who wants a wannabe computer that doesn't even look like one or to be exact, tablet with an ad on just to try to be a 2-in-1 bull shit. Tablet computers is what it's called because it doesn't look like one but it built like one but just for touchscreen like the ipad, but as for os, who cares as long as you have a perfect os anyone is familiar with, so with that said random tiles and changes? Who wants that, 8=vistas brother.

KISS- Keep It Simple and Stupid-> That is how Apple products are, and I mean it in a good way. Everything is easy and friendly to use, you can give an iOS device to a 90 yrs old grandma, and in a week she will be able to use it.

I swear I've owned and tried to cope with everyday life and business through various Android flagships and it have ALWAYS felt messy and unreliable, which automatically ment back to good old trusty iOS devices...

This study is what i've veen trough in my own life. As soon is i started to get interest in technology it became clear nothing works 100%. But once i started ising apple products 100% was a lot closer. Everything works nice together fir example my favorite option of AirPlay. And ofcource android is nice too but i always ran into weird problems with them. The more you know of tech the more you know apple fot it right but its verry restricted. Don't like that? Android. Like working and reliable stuff? Definetly apple. Quality has a price! And its not the specs its the comfort of knowing everything you turn it on it works. And i don't mind spending some extra money on that.
