Microsoft to Launch a Wearable Device Within Weeks?

Posted October 20, 2014 at 2:52pm by iClarified
Microsoft is reportedly planning to launch a wearable device within the next few weeks, reports Forbes.

The gadget is a smart watch that will passively track a wearer’s heart rate and work across different mobile platforms. It will also boast a battery life of more than two days of regular use, sources close to the project say.

This would give the device over twice the battery life of current smartwatches like the Galaxy Gear and the Moto 360.

Microsoft hopes to have the wearable on the market before the lucrative holiday season. In May, Forbes reported that Microsoft was working on a smart watch that drew on optical engineering expertise from its Kinect division, and which would sync with iPhones, Android devices and Windows Phones.

Apple's own wearable device the 'Apple Watch' is scheduled for release in early 2015. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.

Well said Steve jobs. Microsoft will make a new windows similar to windowed 2. Let me guess, less textures background to and make scrolling work by moving mouse only. Couldn't be any better.

It's better to be late than miss the boat itself. Unfortunately, I don't expect much from Microsoft. Battery life will extend if the supposed smart watch is pretty basic and lame.

First being late after years of Apple products and then they attempted to mock siri then see a chart with it siri being second. This is why I am nowadays against Microsoft for all eternity. They were one good until they started throwing everything away starting with 8.
