Apple suppliers have already started to ramp up hiring for production of the new iPhone due to a 'more complex' design, reports the Economic Daily News via CNBC.
Mass hirings have begun at Taiwanese suppliers including Foxconn. The company's job advertisement reads, "Foxconn Zhengzhou is hiring a large number of ordinary workers. Welcome to join Foxconn: Age between 18-40. Overall monthly salary: 3,800 renmimbi. Start working immediately."
Potential works are encouraged to "hurry to apply" and warned that the company's jobs hotline may be busy because "so many applicants are dialing in."
"Please call a few times more and wait in patience. We will get back to you and make arrangements accordingly."
This is the first time in two years that Foxconn has kicked off recruiting on the mainland in May. The new iPhone isn't expected to ship until September.
The 'more complex' design apparently requires that part production begin earlier and demands more training for workers.
