Ok, um, I did the whole jailbreak thing but the blackra1n app is still open and says done, wait for reboot. My iPod is on but there's no blackra1n icon yet. What's with that?

This will not work for any Idevice after the second gen iPhone but for those that want to jailbreak a ios 6.0 - 6.1.2 Idevice you can use evasi0n by the evaders. It's is really simple and it is UNTETHERED which means that if the battery dies you won't have to reboot with evasi0n Hope it helps :)

you need to copy it to c:/programs files/common files/Apple/apple application support and run it from there

iphone 3gs with 3.1.2 os i jailbroke my phone about 2 months ago (tethered jailbreak) used blackra1n rc3. my battery died and have to rerun blackra1n to reboot, i tried this but the iphone3gs stays in restore mode. when i ran blackra1n to reboot, geohotz face shows up on the phone for a couple of seconds and then phone shuts off and goes back into restore mode. i tried with windows 7,Vista and xp still no luck. i dont want to try spirit JB due to no unlock for t mobile. can anyone help me please. reply here or email me. smurvine@gmail.com thanks in advance

The process works fine for me, until Step 5. My phone goes into recovery mode, but the geohot screen doesnt appear, a black screen remains. Anybody be able to help me out?

that last update the 3.1.3 took away my jailbreak and i tried to download it again but failed. Can somebody respond?

If you did the update through itunes, your iphone can not be unlocked.

Jailbreak, allows you to download and install unlimited free applications through cydia instead of using itunes, you can changue the initial screen on your iphone, wallpapers, anything you want to do. Jailbreak does not mean unlocked so you only can use your phone with your actual carrier, once the phone is jailbroken it can be unlocked to use it with any carrier.

Guys help me out here. I used blackra1n to jailbreak my 3GS 3.1.2 device . It was fine till I reached the springboard. The wireless was not working properly. I uninstalled blackra1n but after reinstalling it I can't get the icon anymore. I can't restore the Iphone coz the latest update is 3.1.3 and blackra1n won't work with it. Can anyone help me?

the same thing happened to me although i also deleted cydia and i had installous and winterboard (two app things that are not deletable by just holding then pressing the cross) on my ipod as icons and u need cydia to uninstall them so i had to reinstall cydia but u cant coz this blackra1n won't reinstall!! hey all i am REALLY confused and need some help here. I have purchased a brand new still sealed in the box iPhone 2G and need to unlock it for Tmobile. But ALL the unlocks I have found that work with the newer firmware (blackra1n, redsn0w) require me to update to 3.1.2 before running the jailbreak. How is it possible for me to update to 3.1.2 when I can't even activate my phone, because I am not going on AT&T! I can't find the answer to this anywhere, please help!!!! Can i just take my iPhone 2G out of its original box and use blackra1n right away? Do I start blackrain with my tmobile SIM in, or no SIM?

Both phone does have the version 3.1.2 and moderm firmware of 05.11.07 For the 3G I can no longer send MMS pics. Any suggestions? For the 3GS i lost the Mail icon. Any suggestions? after reading the comments a couple of times, blackra1n rc3 worked on my iphone 3g 3.1.2 version. with the help of this forum and this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8UYSfPEKnQ. What i did: started itunes, plugged the mobile in. closed itunes and stopped the itunes drivers in device manager. Moved blackra1n.exe to the c root. executed this file. then did the thing that the guy did in the above youtube link. And it was jailbreaked in a minute or so! After that there was no gps, i fixed it with a network reset. got everything working! thanks everybody for the help and posting!!

I blackra1ning it and jailbroke it... but when i run out of battery and need to connect to my computer and reboot it again.. wi-fi it´s off and kind of deactivated.... sometimes I have been succesful reactivating it but now i can not.... can somebody helpme???? can this work for iphone 3GS 3.1.2(7D11) firmware and baseband 0.5.11.07? i just bought iphone and i wan to jailbreak it. from wat i heard from my iphone shop seller, they said that 3.1.2(07D11) firmware cannot be jailbreak.

hey, to answer your question.. try plugging the ipod/iphone into your computer then go to blackra1n.com and run the file for windows (or mac if u have an apple computer) hit run and then "make it ra1n" again. once that happens the jailbreak screen should pop up.. wait about 30 seconds and then your device should be at the lockscreen. then go 2 the blackra1n app and get CYDIA!! do not get ROCK.. this time cydia should be there and also make sure you have a wifi connection...if it doesnt work then "make it ra1n" again. i hope i answered your question :)

work like a charm on my ipod touch 2G 8GB,(windows 7) all i did was to kill: iTunesHelper, iPodService and mDNRSResponder , then run the program, and just follow the step guide :))

I have Windows Vista... Even I have an Ipod touch 8GB and it wont jailbreak!!! The screen freezes and NO GEOHOT PIC APPEARS when it is supposed to and then the IPOD hangs.. no reboot or nothing!! Hello, My iPhone 3G was version 3.0.1 jailbroken, I upgraded to 3.2.1, then used this jailbreak, first I didn't get geo's picture while jailbreaking, and it didn't reboot, so i turned it off, and turned it on again, after this my iphone was unjailbroken, and all cydia apps are gone, and most of the normal apps i downloaded doesn't work, i click one of them it tries to enter but gets out immideately. any suggestions? will I lose my apps if i do restore then try again? Help please

yes restore it. then go to itunes and resync all your stuff back to your phone. after that, make it rain again. when you try to get cydia it says you mudt reboot after the download, do it. if it doesnt let u in the phone, make it rain again..

I have a jail broken and unlocked iPhone 3GS with software version 3.0.1 (7A 400) and baseband software 04.2 6.08. I wish to update to the latest software version 3.2.1. My question is what is the best way to do this? The Dev Team suggests you keep the same modem firmware when upgrading to the latest software. From their blog:- "Those of you who are already unlocked at 3.1.2 because you kept your 04.26 baseband now have an extra cushion of comfort, and more choices: ultrasn0w, purplesn0w, and now blacksn0w (and of course the original yellowsn0w too if you’re still back at FW 2.x). Whether or not you choose to update your baseband solely to use the new unlock is a personal choice, but so far there are no advantages to doing so (and remember you can’t come back to 04.26 after you’ve gone to 05.11)." Could somebody please let me know how to do this on an already unlocked phone and keep the 04.26 baseband? Alternatevly if I just use Black ra1n do I "restore" and then "upgrade" or just "upgrrade" from within iTunes? I am getting confused by all different colours of snow/rain!! Is there a table showing what to use where? I have a Canadian phone but am currently I am in Mexico using a Telcel sim card and need to be able to switch between the countries. Thanks

When I got to the " wait for reboot " stage the screen of my iPod froze :S ( no geohot pic ) Iv tried it a load a times n it keeps happening ne idea of wat I'm doin wrong??? Having a problem: jailbroke my iphone 3gs 3.1.2 , it worked fine. i uninstalled blackrain, but wanted to reinstall it back but failed. tried to reset to factory default, thinking that i can re run blackrain, but apparently, that failed too. Now, im stuck with an iphone which is stuck in recovery, cant switch on, cant jb again with blackrain(it stucks in geohot screenshot) anyway i can reset the whole phone to default and re-jb again? (tried "holding home fer 10 seconds" to restore to factory, but nothing happen. pls help. thx.

you need aps sync. to bypass itune to be able to install cracked games. on cydia go to search and search for Aps. Sync.. 3.XX.. install the Aps sync. via cydia.. then you ready to install cracked game thru. itune...
