Estas son las instrucciones para llevar a cabo el Jailbreak en tu iPhone o iPod Touch utilizando BlackRa1n para Windows

El Jailbreak con BlackRa1n funcionará con el último firmware 3.1.2; sin embargo BlackRa1n no realizará la activación del terminal si utilizas un operador que no sea oficial y autorizado por Apple.

Para aquellos que tienen el nuevo iPod Touch de 3ª generación, BlackRa1n sólo soporta un Jailbreak conectado al ordenador. Esto significa que no debes dejar que la batería se agote ni apagar el iPod Touch, pues si eso ocurriera sería necesario reconectarlo al ordenador y utilizar BlackRa1n para poder iniciarlo.

AVISO IMPORTANTE: Aunque el jailbreak de GeoHot soporta el firmware 3.1.2, no realices la actualización si estás utilizando OS 3.0.1 o 3.0. Perderás el desbloqueo. Utiliza PwnageTool para realizar una actualización segura a la versión 3.1 sin actualizar la baseband. Si realmente necesitas la versión 3.1.2, espera a la próxima versión de PwnageTool. Si ya has actualizado a la versión 3.1 o 3.1.2 sin utilizar PwnageTool, habrás perdido la posibilidad de realizar el desbloqueo, al menos de momento. Al menos ahora puedes utilizar BlackRa1n para recuperar el jailbreak.

Ok. comencemos..

Primer paso
Abre el navegador de tu elección y accede a http://www.blackra1n.com. Haz click en el logotipo de Windows al final de la página.

Segundo paso
Guardar el archivo descargado en el escritorio cuando se pregunte por el destino de la descarga.

Tercer paso
A continuación haz doble clic sobre el archivo ejecutable blackra1n en el escritorio para ejecutar el programa.

Cuarto paso
Asegúrate de que tu iPhone o iPod está conectado al ordenador y haz clic en el botón denominado make it ra1n.

Quinto paso
Tu iPhone o iPod entrará ahora en modo de recuperación.

Verás una imagen de GeoHot que reemplaza la pantalla habitual del modo de recuperación en tu dispositivo.

blackra1n se ejecutará y tu dispositivo se reiniciará.

Se mostrará un aviso informando de que BlackRa1n es un software gratuito y que se agradecería si pudieras realizar un donativo a GeoHot en geohot@gmail.com.

Sexto paso
Una vez que el dispositivo se reinicie, tendrá el jailbreak realizado y verás un icono de blackra1n el escritorio de tu iPhone o iPod. Asegúrate de tener conexión con Internet y púlsalo para lanzar la aplicación.

Elije el instalador que más te guste y pulsa el botón Install en la parte superior derecha de la pantalla

BlackRa1n comenzará a descargar e instalar el paquete que has seleccionado

Séptimo paso
Una vez completado, BlackRa1n realizará un reinicio del escrtitorio (respring) de tu iPhone o iPod Touch y verás el programa seleccionado en el Springboard.

Octavo paso
Una vez confirmado que tu instalador está funcionando correctamente, puedes usar el botón Uninstall blackra1n dentro de la aplicación BlackRa1n para eliminarlo del springboard.

Ok, um, I did the whole jailbreak thing but the blackra1n app is still open and says done, wait for reboot. My iPod is on but there's no blackra1n icon yet. What's with that?

This will not work for any Idevice after the second gen iPhone but for those that want to jailbreak a ios 6.0 - 6.1.2 Idevice you can use evasi0n by the evaders. It's is really simple and it is UNTETHERED which means that if the battery dies you won't have to reboot with evasi0n Hope it helps :)

you need to copy it to c:/programs files/common files/Apple/apple application support and run it from there

Hi I jailbroken my iphone 1st gen 3.1.2 using blackra1n and then used bootneuter from cydia to unlock it Afterwards, the phone worked perfectedly until after I restored my old contacts using itunes, now my iphone is frozen with black screen, with an apple logo and a loading bar that doesnt move

iphone 3gs with 3.1.2 os i jailbroke my phone about 2 months ago (tethered jailbreak) used blackra1n rc3. my battery died and have to rerun blackra1n to reboot, i tried this but the iphone3gs stays in restore mode. when i ran blackra1n to reboot, geohotz face shows up on the phone for a couple of seconds and then phone shuts off and goes back into restore mode. i tried with windows 7,Vista and xp still no luck. i dont want to try spirit JB due to no unlock for t mobile. can anyone help me please. reply here or email me. smurvine@gmail.com thanks in advance

I have an iphone 3gs 3.1.2... i had it thetered unlocked with blackra1n but suddenly when it ran out of battery and tried to unlocked, after the tipical screen comes up it shuts down again... what is happening...can somebody tell? and what to do...please...im without cell phone and i need it a lot!!!!!! please thanks........ help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

The process works fine for me, until Step 5. My phone goes into recovery mode, but the geohot screen doesnt appear, a black screen remains. Anybody be able to help me out?

If you did the update through itunes, your iphone can not be unlocked.

Can someonehelp, I'm really new to all this. My iPhone is the best thing since pants with pockets here, but I am not eactly sure what a jailbreak is. I mean I have a 3g 16 n the 8g do I wanna jailbreak it Att is my wireless company. What will doing this allow me to do with this phone that I can't already?? Does it not reaquiere me a carriers?
