Apple Stops Signing iOS 17.0.3, Downgrades and Restores No Longer Possible

Apple has stopped signing iOS 17.0.3, preventing users from being able to downgrade or restore to that firmware version. Oddly, the company is still signing iOS 17.0.2.

Currently, Apple's latest firmware is iOS 17.1. If you accidentally update or restore, you'll find yourself on that version. Developers have been seeded with the first beta of iOS 17.2.

Those interested in jailbreaking are typically advised to stay on the lowest firmware possible. The unc0ver jailbreak and Taurine jailbreak support all devices running iOS 14 - 14.3. Unc0ver has been updated with the Fugu14 untether which supports iOS 14.3 - iOS 14.5.1 and a Fugu15 jailbreak has been released for developers on iOS 15. A Fugu15 Max jailbreak for A12 - A15 devices running iOS 15.0 through iOS 15.4.1 has been released in beta. Finally, the palera1n jailbreak has been updated with beta iOS 17.1 support for A11 devices and lower.
