New CAD drawings for the upcoming 11-inch and 13-inch OLED iPad Pro have allegedly been leaked. The drawings were obtained by MacRumors and appear to confirm reports of a thinner design.
The current 11-inch iPad Pro measures 247.6mm x 178.5mm x 5.9mm, but the new OLED model is said to come in at 249.7mm x 177.5mm x 5.1mm. That's 2.1mm longer, 1mm less in width, and 0.8mm thinner.
The change will likely be more noticeable on the 13-inch iPad Pro. The current 12.9-inch model is 280.6mm x 214.9mm x 6.4mm and the new 13-inch model is said to be 281.5mm x 215mm x 5.0mm. That's 0.9mm longer, 0.6mm wider, and 1.4mm thinner!
Apple is expected to unveil its new OLED iPad Pro models next month. Recent rumors have Samsung providing the panels for the 11-inch model and LG providing panels for 13-inch model. Besides the new display, it's possible that Apple could equip the tablet with a landscape Face ID camera and an M3 chip.
