Tim Cook Teases New 'Air' Product Coming 'This Week'

Apple CEO Tim Cook is teasing a new 'Air' product announcement 'this week'.

In a post on X today, Cook tweeted "This week", attaching a short video clip that reads:

The new device is likely the M4 MacBook Air, though an update to the iPad Air is also on the way.

Other than the processor bump to M4, we haven't heard of any major changes to the popular notebook. In terms of pricing, we expect Apple to stay very close to, if not exactly at, the current price point. The 13-inch MacBook Air starts at $1,099 (on sale for 18% off today), while the 15-inch model starts at $1,299 (on sale for 15% off today).

The new MacBook Air will likely be unveiled via a press release, similar to how Apple introduced the iPhone 16e.
