Apple is introducing users to its new 'Liquid Glass' design language with an onboarding video that now appears in the latest developer beta of iOS 26. The introductory sequence walks users through the key visual changes that define the new software, which was first unveiled at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June.
The short introductory video highlights several key aspects of the new aesthetic, including how users can personalize their iPhone with new looks for app icons, interact with fluid new controls, and access menu options with buttons that dynamically morph. It also points to the more accessible placement of search within apps. The video is part of the initial setup process after updating, ensuring users are familiar with the new interface.
The new visual style, officially named Liquid Glass, is a central component of iOS 26 and Apple's other new operating systems. The design has been a consistent theme throughout the beta cycle, with Apple making subtle adjustments to the appearance of its translucent elements. A previous public beta also included an introductory video after updating, but this latest version provides a more refined onboarding experience.
The new video was spotted in the sixth developer beta of iOS 26, which was seeded last week. The final version of the software is scheduled for release this fall.
