iPhone 17 Shipping Estimates Slip Into October, Pro Max Delayed 3-4 Weeks

Following the start of pre-orders yesterday, shipping estimates for Apple's new iPhone 17 lineup have already begun to slip, with many models now showing delivery dates well into October. The iPhone 17 Pro Max appears to be in highest demand, with all configurations seeing significant delays just a day after going on sale. The new iPhones are set to officially arrive in stores on Friday, September 19.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max is seeing the longest waits, with shipping estimates for all colors and storage capacities now pushed back to 3-4 weeks. This includes the popular new Cosmic Orange and Deep Blue finishes. The smaller iPhone 17 Pro is faring slightly better, though some models are also delayed. The Cosmic Orange version is showing a 7-10 day wait for 256GB and 512GB models, and 2-3 weeks for the 1TB option. The Silver model is also delayed by 2-3 weeks across all capacities, but the Deep Blue finish is still available for launch day delivery on September 19.

For the all-new iPhone Air, availability is mixed. The Space Black and Sky Blue models are holding steady with a September 19 delivery date. However, all capacities of the Cloud White finish have slipped to 2-3 weeks. The Light Gold model is showing a 7-10 day delay for the 256GB version, though the 512GB and 1TB options are still available for launch.


The standard iPhone 17 is also seeing some delays. The Black and Sage Green models have slipped to 2-3 weeks for all storage sizes. For the White and Lavender colors, the 256GB base model is still available for launch day, but the 512GB versions are delayed by 2-3 weeks. The Mist Blue color is currently showing no delays.
