Apple Releases macOS Tahoe 26.2 Beta to Developers [Download]

Apple has seeded the first developer beta of macOS Tahoe 26.2 for testing, kicking off the next development cycle for the Mac. The new build, 25C5031i, arrives just three days after the public launch of macOS Tahoe 26.1.

It's not yet clear what new features are included in this beta, but it likely contains under-the-hood improvements and bug fixes. macOS Tahoe 26 was a significant update, introducing a universal design language called 'Liquid Glass,' a new Phone app, and an overhauled Spotlight search.

The release of the macOS beta follows the seeding of the first betas for iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 26.2, as well as watchOS 26.2, tvOS 26.2, and visionOS 26.2 to developers earlier this week.


Developers can download the macOS restore image for Apple Silicon Macs from the link below. The update can also be installed by going to System Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates and choosing the macOS Tahoe Developer Beta.
