Apple CEO Tim Cook and Eddy Cue, Apple's senior vice president of Services, are attending the 2026 Allen & Co. conference in Sun Valley, Idaho, an exclusive gathering of media, technology, and finance leaders that runs through July 11. Apple's hardware chief and incoming CEO John Ternus is also attending, according to Forbes.
The conference, often referred to as "summer camp for billionaires," is known for private meetings and casual networking that have historically led to major deals. Conversations at the resort are widely credited with paving the way for Disney's acquisition of ABC, Jeff Bezos' purchase of The Washington Post, and Verizon's acquisition of AOL.
Apple's executives will be joined by a large contingent of artificial intelligence leaders, including OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, OpenAI chairman Bret Taylor, OpenAI president Greg Brockman, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, Palantir CEO Alex Karp, and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei. Other attendees include Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Amazon's Jeff Bezos, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav, Home Depot co-founder Ken Langone, and LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman.
The appearance marks Cook's final Sun Valley trip as Apple's chief executive. Apple announced in April that Ternus will take over as CEO on September 1, ending Cook's 15-year tenure at the helm as he moves into the newly created executive chairman position.
Cue, who oversees Apple's services business, has been a regular attendee at Sun Valley in previous years.
The Sun Valley Conference runs through July 11, with no formal agenda disclosed to the public.
