Sony WH-1000XM5 Headphones Drop to Lowest Price Ever of $198 [Deal]

Sony's WH-1000XM5 wireless noise canceling headphones are down to $198 at Amazon, the lowest price we have ever recorded for them and half of their $399.99 list price. All four colors - Black, Midnight Blue, Silver, and Smoky Pink - are the same price, and Sony's own store is selling them for $198 as well.

The XM5 has spent most of the summer at $248, so this is $50 below where it has been sitting, and it is back to the $198 it last reached during Prime Day in June. Sony replaced the XM5 with the WH-1000XM6, which sells for $398, so the older flagship is now half the price of the model that succeeded it.

Sony runs the noise canceling on two processors and eight microphones, with an optimizer that retunes the canceling to how the headphones sit on your head and to the conditions around them. Calls are picked up by four beamforming microphones. Sony rates the battery at 30 hours with canceling on, and says a three minute charge is enough for about three hours of playback. They hold a connection to two devices at once, pause when you lift them off your ears, and pause when you start talking. A carry case is in the box.
