New Mac mini and Mac Studio Models Are Now Available

Apple's new Mac mini and Mac Studio models are now available at Apple Stores, authorized resellers, the Apple online store, and the Apple Store app. The desktop lineup includes Mac mini with M6 or M5 Pro and Mac Studio with M5 Max or M5 Ultra.

Mac mini

Mac mini with M6 starts at $899 and includes a 12-core CPU, 12-core GPU with Neural Accelerators in every core, and a dual 16-core Neural Engine. It begins with 16GB of unified memory and can be configured with up to 32GB, with memory bandwidth reaching 170GB/s.

The M5 Pro model starts at $1,699 and scales to an 18-core CPU, 20-core GPU, 64GB of unified memory, and 307GB/s of memory bandwidth. Both versions include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and 2.5Gb Ethernet, with 10Gb Ethernet offered as an option.

Mac Studio

Mac Studio with M5 Max starts at $2,499, pairing an 18-core CPU with a GPU configurable with up to 40 cores and as much as 128GB of unified memory. The M5 Ultra version begins at $5,499 and can be configured with a 36-core CPU, 80-core GPU, 512GB of unified memory, and 1.2TB/s of memory bandwidth.

Both models support Thunderbolt 5 transfers up to 120Gb/s. Depending on configuration, Mac Studio can drive as many as eight displays or four Studio Display XDR monitors at 5K resolution and 120Hz. RDMA support also lets multiple Mac Studio systems operate as a cluster, which Apple says can deliver up to three times faster distributed AI inference than a single system.

The new desktops ship with macOS 27 Golden Gate, including Siri AI in beta, Visual Intelligence, updated Apple Intelligence features, and refinements to Liquid Glass. The 512GB unified memory configuration of Mac Studio is scheduled to follow in late October.

Pricing

Education pricing starts at $799 for Mac mini with M6, $1,599 for Mac mini with M5 Pro, $2,299 for Mac Studio with M5 Max, and $5,099 for Mac Studio with M5 Ultra. Eligible U.S. customers can also lease the two Mac Studio models through Apple Upgrade on 24- or 36-month terms.
