Microsoft has launched a new PC vs Mac page to try and convince customers that Windows is better.
PCs are designed for work and play, with features you need to get things done on the job or at school and have fun at home or on the go. From easily sharing Microsoft Office documents to watching HDTV and Blu-ray movies, PCs help you do it all.
Here are there six main arguments:
● Macs might spoil your fun. ● Macs can take time to learn. ● Macs don't work as well at work or at school. ● Macs don't like to share. ● Macs might not like your PC stuff. ● Macs don't let you choose.
We aren't even going to comment on how incorrect these are...
oh and one more thing if blu-ray is so hard to add in a mac why don't they just put it in the 27-inch imac and the mac pro if that's the only problem people have in there macs.
not everything is perfect all computers have there advantages and dis-advantages just like how PC's are sometimes not stable and haw macs really need an app like onyx or cocktail to clean them after like a month or 2 of using and how macs don't have a wide list of apps like windows but best of all macs don't have a real working virus like how windows does that's why I'm happy with my mac

A whole new list of lies and misinformation about Apple products from Microsoft. GOODIE, I get to enjoy the never ended joy of correcting people who would rather believe marketing and propaganda than facts.
quite a few mac fanboys here (unsuprisingly of course), myself, i love my mac, but i always primarily use my PC, and that won't change, for certain tasks it can be particularly powerful (hence why it's so popular within say the media industry) and for general ease/fun of use the mac is great, but it just has too many limitations, and the software avaliable just can't compare to windows, plus the prices are ridiculous let's be honest. Besides frankly i don't know where the derogatory comments about windows come from, W7 has been pretty well put together and functions nicely, not like we're still using vista.
I used PC for years until I bought my MacBook Pro, yes it was a bit pricy but I must say I will not buy a PC computer no more.

Well actually I have had my Macbook for about 3 years, and not a single issue yet. I have a friend who bought an Asus eee pc and that broke in less than 2 weeks. The screen needed replacing, and hes quite careful with his electronics. An investment in the long run is by far a very smart choice, and you might say well I just buy the cheapest stuff out there, but really considering those products do not last as long as you might think. Two other friends bought toshiba laptops and both of those are gone in less than a year. I own just a single macbook that cost 1200 bucks yet I have not spent a dime on it other than software in 3 years! but come on Windows charges how much for office 2010? Either 150$ or a crazy 500$ this is real too you can check it out. Iwork from apple eh just 80$. Oh yeah I dont enjoy lattes as much as I enjoy my every now and then cappuccino.
Do you really like your PC or do you just feel better that the cost was less. How much did you spend on virus/shareware/addware protection. Where do you go for service if you need it? The big difference in PC users and Apple users is that we (apple users) enjoy using the computer and are happy about paying the "premium' you PC users talk about. How come all my friends use Macs now?

Well PC's are better because apple limits all of its products so wen the new products come out your old product will be way outdated and you will want the new one. Plus they are way over priced. But if you have the money then you might as well get a mac because they are very nice.

so u need to choose what HDD what size and what co, then the graphics card, then the maker etc etc etc...im confused...
ill just get a mac coz i have like 10 diff specs to choose from and they alll work perfectly

im too busy to sit and go through 100000 different branded laptops to get the one i like.... and then install 100000 million softwares to get it to do what mac dose out of the box
Well, being a PC guy I have to say that I am extremely happy with everything windows 7 does and is doing for me. I love my iphone sooooooo much that I bought into the hype and got a macbook last week and I must say that so far I am not impressed, not at all. I am not going to make any final judgments until I have a few weeks under my belt.
Here is your solution. I have helped many PC addicts switch. Install Windows 7 on the boot camp side. Then you have a pc and Mac in one machine. Continue using the mac......then like 99 percent users you will only occasionally use the Windows side and eventually erase the whole Windows partition......Ive seen it over and over again.

That is very true!!! I only use windows for my games. Everything else, I use my Mac partition. As for the list if things they say Mac can't do...such bullshit. Hey Microsoft, why is it so easy fir me to just right click on my mac's Hdd and click share and my network sees it and let's me use it but on windows NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I TRY TO SHARE MY DRIVE I CAN'T SEE IT ON MY NETWORK?! I'm calm now. windows=games(SOMETIMES). Mac=everything else.
And I am not a fan boy. I use both PC and Mac. I just feel better using Mac.
I had win7 for 2 weeks and made it crash twice... not counting reboots.
True, Macs are more expensive than PCs... BUT you will need to pay a PC the same price (if not more) for the same quality hardware...
easy example... a Laptop with win7... try putting it on standby overnight and it will drain the battery or go in hibernation mode... now do this a whole week without rebooting and you will notice your computer going amock ...
Now with a Macbook, there is no such thing as hibernation ... no need as the standby will NOT drain the battery ... I am now 5 month without rebooting... and I am a system admin on a PC based environment ... so I have seen much ...
so yes... Macs are more expensive... but they are worth every penny...
