Lil Wayne has been moved to punitive segregation for a month as punishment for possessing an iPod. The headphones and charger were found inside a potato chip bag in a garbage bag found in the rapper's cell. The player itself was found in an inmate's nearby cell.
According to the Star Press, the rapper will remain in segregation until his expected November release. He is in jail for firearms related charge.
Lil Wayne generally will now be confined to his new cell 23 hours a day, with such exceptions as visits and showers, instead of being allowed to mingle with other inmates most of the day. He'll eat in his cell and won't get to socialize even during his hour a day of recreation, Correction Department spokesman Stephen Morello said. Lil Wayne also will have to forego TV, and he'll be limited to one phone call a week instead of a chat a day or more, except for calls to his lawyer, Morello said.
As he faced incarceration, Wayne told Rolling Stone that "I'll have an iPod, and I'll make sure they keep sending me beats."

Really this is newsworthy?
Is the apple community that desperate for publicity that this kind of garbage needs to be shared?
How about some reviews on some apps or gadgets, just a thought

It is interesting that his iPod is so important to him that he'd risk solitary confinement just to have one. And isn't prison supposed to rehabilitate people. You'd think having an iPod would make him constructive and allow him to focus on useful things.
