Apple Debuts 'Matchbox The Movie' Trailer Starring John Cena and Jessica Biel [Video]

Apple unveiled the first full trailer for "Matchbox The Movie" during Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con, offering a closer look at the globe-trotting action-comedy inspired by Mattel's iconic toy line. The nearly three-minute preview showcases explosive action, high-speed vehicle chases, and the unlikely team at the center of the mission.



John Cena stars as Sean, an undercover CIA agent who returns to his hometown after years away. His arrival pulls a group of childhood friends into a frantic international pursuit to save the world, forcing them to work together against dangerous enemies despite years apart. Jessica Biel co-stars alongside Sam Richardson, Arturo Castro, Teyonah Parris, Corey Stoll, Bill Camp, Golshifteh Farahani, and Danai Gurira.


Directed and executive produced by Sam Hargrave ("Extraction") from a screenplay by David Coggeshall, "Matchbox The Movie" is produced by David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Robbie Brenner, Ynon Kreiz, and Jules Daly. Patrick Newall and Elizabeth Bassin serve as executive producers.

"Matchbox The Movie" premieres globally on Apple TV on Friday, October 9.
