Apple TV Shares 'Dark Matter' Season 2 Trailer [Video]

Apple TV unveiled the official trailer for 'Dark Matter' season two during its Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con ahead of the series' August 28 global premiere.



The 10-episode season will debut with one episode, followed by new installments every Friday through October 30.


Based on the bestselling novel by Blake Crouch, who created the series and serves as showrunner, 'Dark Matter' stars Joel Edgerton as Jason Dessen and Jennifer Connelly as his wife Daniela. Season two picks up with the Dessens settling into what appears to be a safe life, until new threats force the family to run again. Jason becomes increasingly obsessed with the Box while Daniela struggles with growing paranoia, and Amanda (Alice Braga) and Ryan (Jimmi Simpson) begin a desperate search for a way home. Returning cast members also include Dayo Okeniyi, Oakes Fegley, and Amanda Brugel.

The 'Dark Matter' universe is also expanding with the launch of 'Dark Matter: The Official Podcast,' hosted by Crouch and executive producer Jacquelyn Ben-Zekry. The podcast will begin with a special catch-up episode ahead of the season two premiere, followed by new episodes released alongside each installment of the series. Episodes feature cast members, key creatives, industry experts, content creators, and superfans exploring the science behind the multiverse and the creative process.

The trailer arrives nearly four months after Apple first revealed the season two premiere date and first look images.
