Pre-orders of the iPhone 4S in Hon Kong sold out in just ten minutes, according to Ticonderoga Securities analyst Brian White.
Says White, "We believe this rapid sell out will rest concerns surrounding the uptake of the iPhone 4S in the Greater China region that were driven by the limited language capability of Siri, which did not launch in Mandarin or Cantonese."
Last month, Apple announced that it had sold over four million of the new iPhone 4S, just three days after its launch on October 14.
"iPhone 4S is off to a great start with more than four million sold in its first weekend-the most ever for a phone and more than double the iPhone 4 launch during its first three days," said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing.
