Apple CEO Tim Cook made some interesting comments at a shareholder meeting in Cupertino today, reports CNBC. When asked about the company's relationship with Facebook, Cook revealed that he thinks the two companies could collaborate more.
Question: "Question on Facebook, friend or foe - and where does social networking into the picture. Also: I just bought a big LG TV and have 60 days to return it. Should I return it?"
Answer: "Facebook: friend. We do a lot with them, our users use Facebook an enormous amount. ... I've always thought that the two companies could do more together." ... "We've integrated Twitter ... It's been great for Twitter, but it's been great for our users" .... iMessage "the volume is incredible."
"Obviously, I'm not going to comment on your second question (TV)."
Cook also noted that the company is thinking about what to do with all its cash.
"On cash, we've been thinking about cash very deeply, the board has been looking into what is in shareholders' best interest ... We've spent billions on ... Supply chain, retail, etc .... My message there is that the board and the management team are thinking about this very deeply ... And we will do what we think is in the best interest of shareholders."
why would they to strangle Samsung I honestly don't see why these to top of the line companies are at each others throats can someone please fill me in on this Please this would be greatly appreciated
On the contrary, they need each other and compliment each other nicely. A full integration like which was done with Twitter would be welcome. Simply, Facebook is the most common app on iPhones. iPhone's need Facebook and Facebook needs iPhones.
Please don't squander the cash on silly crowd pleasing social causes...
Use it to strangle Samsung and co buy buying flash memory and buying out the competition ...
