Apple has instructed Apple Geniuses to 'capture' any new MacBook Airs that are exhibiting Wi-Fi issues, according to a leaked document obtained by 9to5Mac.
The document tells geniuses and advisers to capture any new MacBook Air notebook and related accessories or devices that exhibit problems with Wi-Fi.
Symptoms In the United States, Apple Geniuses and Advisors should capture MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2013) and MacBook Air (11-inch, Mid 2013) computers with any Wi-Fi issues.
Qualifications for Capture ● Model: MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2013) and MacBook Air (11-inch, Mid 2013) ● Configuration: -- AppleCare BTO/CTO OK -- Retail BTO OK. Facilitate CTO capture via Tier 2 for the customer.
Gizmodo first reported a problem with Wi-Fi connections dropping last week. Additionally, Anandtech has just reported that OS X is artificially limiting 802.11ac speeds for the new notebooks.

Could it be that we've found our reason as to why there were no Retina MBP or Mac mini refreshes?
Are MacBook Air's the guinea pigs for real-world 802.11ac usage? Oh yea, and we need a hack for the Wireless-AC throttling! Grrrrr....

As far as i am aware the hack is only required for AFP... so just use SMB until they fix it...
