We reported a few days ago that Apple was gearing up to launch a Lunar New Year Sale, or 'Red Friday' for select asian markets. Today, the sale kicked off and we finally get a glimpse of the discounts Apple plans to offer.
The sale includes discounts on the iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c and iPhone 4s, which is rather unusual since Apple typically does not offer discounts on iPhones (it did not for the US previous Black Friday Sales). These are all discounts off the actual product, and not simply gift-cards.
Apple is offering approximately $50 off both the full-priced iPhone 5s and 5c. The iPad air is discounted $40, while the Retina iPad Mini is $30 off. The original iPad Mini is $18 off and the iPad 2 sees a discount of $27.
iPod Nano is discounted $13 and the latest iPod touch is seeing a $27 discount.
All Macs are $100 off and there are also some discounts on Apple accessories as well.
