O2 to Charge Early Upgrade Fee for iPhone 3G S

O2 has informed customers that they will need to pay an early upgrade fee if they wish to upgrade from the iPhone 3G to the iPhone 3G S.

The early upgrade cost is likely to be monthly cost x months left on your cotract, but specifics may vary slightly

The iPhone 3GS 16Gb will cost up to £184.98 depending on which tariff you take - the 32Gb up to £274.23.

If you're able to upgrade early as part of Priority List then you don't need to pay to end the contract
