Alleged 4.7-inch iPhone 6 Rear Shell Surfaces in New Video

Posted June 26, 2014 at 3:42pm by
Japanese blog Mac Otakara published a video today that shows the purported iPhone 6 rear shell for the 4.7-inch model alongside an iPhone 5s and other iPhone 6 mockups. We have seen photos of the alleged shell, but this is the first time we've seen a video.

The shell is thinner than the iPhone 5s' and has the correct cutouts for the volume buttons, silent switch and the relocated sleep/wake button. There is a cutout for the Apple logo, which we believe is likely part of the manufacturing process; however, there's a small possibility that Apple could use the logo as a notification indicator.

The next generation iPhone 6 is rumored to launch in both 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screen sizes, however the 5.5-inch model may receive exclusive features such as optical image stabilization and 128GB of storage. The device is rumored to feature a 1704 x 960 resolution display bringing a higher pixel density, as well as an A8 processor, an improved camera, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and an all new design with rounded corners with a relocated sleep/wake button.

I've been a loyal Apple user for several years owning different iPhones, iPads, iPods, ATV etc. I think the time has come for me to 'think different'. My new mobile device of choice will be the Sony Xperia Z2. I have already replaced by ATV with an Android box. I personally think that Apple have stagnated.

I jumped aboard the fruit wagon and never looked back. I never gave up atv but I did go from 2 to 3, better yet I am happy with my 5s more than ever and went from s3 and only owned that for 9 days and gave up, and tmobile made my day with iPhone. Samsung is the one who hindered and the malware markets sum that up.

Again, nice try. Why would the ring be back if it's removed since the 5s?
