Sprint Launches New $60 Unlimited Plan

Posted August 21, 2014 at 8:07pm by iClarified
Sprint has announced its new Sprint $60 Unlimited Plan offering customers unlimited talk, text and data for $60/month. The announcement comes just as T-Mobile announces a promotion offering a free year of LTE data for Sprint switcher.

This plan provides consumers unlimited talk, text and data while on America’s Newest Network for just $60 per month, a $20 savings compared to T-Mobile's $80 per month unlimited plan. Simple, easy, affordable – the Sprint $60 Unlimited Plan is available to both new and existing Sprint customers starting tomorrow, August 22. To qualify for the plan, customers must purchase their device through Sprint Easy Pay, pay full retail price or bring their own compatible device.

“People know Sprint for Unlimited,” said Marcelo Claure, Sprint CEO. “We have long been the leader in offering customers unlimited data and that leadership continues today with our new $60 unlimited plan. Unlimited talk, text and data for $60 is the best unlimited postpaid plan available. And, we’ve listened to our loyal customers; we’re making the Sprint $60 Unlimited Plan available to both new and existing customers.”

The new plan comes just days after the company announced Sprint Family Share Pack – a new shared-data plan that can give customers double the high-speed data at a lower price than AT&T and Verizon Wireless.

Does sprint even have high speed data ? 3 to 5 Mbps is not considered fast today.

The CEO doesn't give a damn about speed, all he can do is prices and deals. I read reviews of them promising new towers and no one has gotten it even around the estimated date of them coming. Tmobile on the other hand isnt so cheap on lte, they do what they can. Like they said, "we will not stop". What's sprint's motto?

Just hope with this new CEO running the show, things will get better. Supposedly Sprint Spark has just rolled out to 27 new markets this week. Don't do much for those w/o spark enabled devices(Only the Aquious phone is enabled for spark)so we shall see what comes about with this.

I doubt he has a chance nowadays. It took him years to make prices cheaper like sprint and tried to offer more 4g, but all this lazy shit he's been like compared to the others, and tmobile offers far far much more than these name lying myths. Music with no limits, no overages, 4 lines for $100 compared to the rest with $160. Tell me how sprint or splint(er) can beat them?

I have sprint. Apparently you aren't really listening to your customers with any real intent. Yes you're known for unlimited everything, but it's not if much benefit when your LTE speeds are barely 3 to 5 Mbps in my area. You need to focus on getting the network infrastructure more solid! Customer service needs an overhaul as well, or no matter how low the price is, people will keep bailing & giving Verizon, AT&T & T-Mobile their business. Hell, even prepaid options are getting the clue on what customers want, so why can't you? Just sayin!
