Photos have leaked purportedly showing a battery for the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 with nearly twice the capacity as the battery for the iPhone 5s.
Nowhereelse posted photos of the battery from Huizhou Desay which indicates a capacity of 2,915 mAh. That's much larger than the current battery for the iPhone 5s which has a capacity of only 1,560 mAh.
Of course, the larger battery is needed to power the larger display; however, we are hoping that Apple has heard consumer complaints and has taken steps to boost the battery life of its next generation devices.
For those wondering about the 4.7-inch iPhone 6, it's rumored to have a 1,810 mAh battery.

Let's say 4" = 1560, so for 5.5" screen (1560/4*5.5=2145) 2145 is required at least. Therefore the real improvement is 2915-2145=770 which is 49.36% compared with iPhone 5s.
