The iPhone 6 Plus may account for a higher percentage of iPhone 6 shipments than expected, according to a DigiTimes report.
Judging from recent shipments of analog ICs to Foxconn and Pegatron, sources tell the site that it appears as though 60% of buyers are choosing the larger iPhone 6 Plus.
Shipments of IC parts to the two makers were almost at even initially, but Foxconn appears to have received more shipments recently, the sources indicated. The higher-than-expected sales of the iPhone 6 Plus may harm the sale of Apple's iPad mini which has a display size of 7.9-inch that is close to the 5.5-inch display used by the iPhone 6 Plus, commented the sources.
Did you choose the larger 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus over the 4.7-inch iPhone 6? Let us know in the comments!
I like smaller cars because they are nimble, easy to park, good on gas and easy to drive. But I drive and own larger cars for the space and capacity. Sure they are harder to park, but the passengers have more room.
Same with the iPhone 6 Plus. It's not the phone for everyone, but it's the phone of choice if you need more screen space. Also, after having it for a week, I can say the battery life is superb.
The increased size is not a problem. It still fits in my pocket and the larger screen makes for easier reading and a better video viewing experience. The increased battery life alone makes it well worth the upgrade.
After being in dubio for some time, looking at the difference between the 2, I finally decided to go for the Plus. I wanted to really see and feel that I have a new iPhone and the Plus absolutely meets that need. With this iPhone, Bigger is definately better! I love it!
Just received the Plus I order the first day (I couldn't place an order initially and had to wait). Despite what I feared, the 6 Plus fits fine in a shirt pocket (it sticks out of the top a little bit, but it hardly justifies shoving it in your jeans pocket). In short, it's just functions just like a phone, except screen is big enough to display iPad graphics and the camera is vastly superior to the other smartphones.
Just think, can you imagine how many would have sold by now if Apple had enough on hand to sell?
what choice would you have had. Would you let users switch to android just for size all because you didn't make it big enough or are you going to thank us for doing such a good job in the newest record fast selling phones yet?
My gf was originally going to get the 6, then we went into AT&T to look at the demo units and she changed her mind and is now going to get the 6 plus... As soon as they get them in stock
