A presentation showcasing design ideas for the upcoming Microsoft Store has been leaked to Gizmodo.

Taking the best elements from the Apple Store, Sony Style, Niketown and other retail shops, the Microsoft Store will focus on Windows 7, Windows Mobile, Xbox, PCTV, and Surface.

The Customer Journey is targeted towards Emily as she visits different areas of the store such as Personalization, Answer Bar, Software, Theatre Area, and Check Out.

Gizmodo highlights some main points of interest:
• There's going to be a Digital Media Wall—a massive screen—that wraps around the entire store, which you can see in some of the slides
• Lots of Surface demos
• Stage areas for Windows 7, Windows Media Center (PCTV), Windows Mobile and netbooks
• Their take on the Genius Bar is the Answer Bar
• They're already planning out huge demos and events around Project Natal and their secret mobile project Pink
• You can pay to have your birthday party at the Microsoft Store

The presentation posted is fifty four pages long and even contains competitive analysis. You can see all the slides by hitting the link below.

When Microsoft starts making their own products like Apple this will happen... Its like a race to see who can be most like Apple. Palm steals syncing, Microsoft Steals store.

Everything about this screams I WANT TO BE APPLE! I mean fair enough to Microsoft, they are fighting a losing battle so they decided to take lessons from the masters. Whoever thinks this doesn't look like the apple store has obviously never been to an apple store, its exactly the same except brighter colours. I mean, for gods sake, Guru Bar?? (very similar to Genius Bar) - at least have some creativity microsoft!

Sorry but the only thing like an Apple store is the Answer bar. And just be glad theres competition. Maybe Apple's gonna lower their prices a bit. Overpriced stuff with cheaper hardware, How innovative

Don't think Apple will do cheap, you'll then have cheap quality build macbooks. i'd rather pay more for something i know will last me. At least Microsoft is now seeing that they need to take their head out the sand and create a great user experience for their users. Capitalise on their products that are doing well, and stop trying to attack Apple. I think its good that they're going to be having surface tables, as i would go into one of their store to check that out, and thats the point really...to get people through the doors and then they may be pursuaded to buy something. Compitition is always good for the consumer.

lol are you kidding me? apple being cheap was the white macbook. why do you think they are finally phasing them out? because they were cheap and kept cracking (apple employee told me this himself). apple being cheap was changing the metal body of iphone 1st gen to the plastic body of the 3g/3gs. stop trying to attack apple? are you joking! EVERY SINGLE AD by apple recently has been bashing the pc. hello mac guy (young, hip dude) vs pc guy (some overweight business man)? come on now.
