Some Apple Watch pre-orders that were estimated to ship in May or June have had their status changed to 'Preparing for Shipment', according to users on the MacRumors forums.
A growing number of people have turned to the MacRumors discussion forums and tipped us individually about their Apple Watch pre-orders with 4-6 weeks or June delivery estimates changing from "Processing Items" to "Preparing for Shipment" on Apple's order tracking page for various aluminum and stainless steel models.
This may suggest that Apple has a little more stock then previously estimated. It also falls in line with information from the executive relations team at Apple, who revealed to a customer that shipments of its new Apple Watch could arrive earlier than online estimates.
from the UK here, I ordered within the fist ten minutes and had a 4-6 weeks estimate which is still holding. maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. where should I look??
Same here. 42mm space gray with black band. 4/24 to 5/8 estimate and ive seen screenshots of users with JUNE estimates move to preparing for shipment. Infuriating.
Very poor planning by Apple's product managers...it was a major FAIL! From proclaiming the Apple Watch with store release date of 04/24 to not available for store purchase on that date to supplier limited part supplies to underestimating the demand (although this might be artificial) MAJOR FAIL!.
