At WWDC 2015, Apple SVP Phil Schiller made a surprise appearance on Daring Fireball's 'The Talk Show'.
Recorded in front of a live audience at Mezzanine in San Francisco, John Gruber is joined by Phil Schiller to discuss the news from WWDC: OS X 10.11 El Capitan, iOS 9, the new native app SDK for Apple Watch, Apple Music, and the 2004 American League Championship series.

It was great to see an entirely human side of Apple. The best parts were about the trade-offs people at Apple struggle with for their customers. Some might argue that given Phil's role in PR his answers were designed for a specific effect, and they may well have been, but that doesn't preclude the real desire (on display by Phil) to do the best possible thing they can for their customers. I think Phil should do more of these. Some of the people at Apple are simply comfortable doing these things and some aren't. The more uncomfortable you are when you speak publicly the more it makes the audience uncomfortable and that can't be good when you're trying to tell people something.
