BKeeney Software Updates File Sheriff

BKeeney Software is developing a new and improved version of File Sheriff, a file management program for Mac OS X. File Sheriff 2.0 is easier-to-use and has many great enhancements to editing files and renaming music files.

File Sheriff 2.0 has a new user interface making it easier to get things done. Files can be selected and edited by dragging and dropping items onto the application and dock icons. File creator and type codes can be modified more quickly than previous versions. The new search function allows you to search for files based on their metadata, which can then be saved, quickly retrieved and stored in an external format to share between users. The music renamer allows users to select music files via drap and drop and configure their own file name based on the music file metadata. Users can choose from a dozen preconfigured templates or create their own. The custom icon creator also allows users to select files via drag and drop.

Many users expressed frustration in the registration and purchasing process. License codes can now be purchased within the application. Starting with File Sheriff 2.0, BKeeney is switching to a popular registration system called eSellerate. File Sheriff will soon be available online for only $9.95 (USD). File Sheriff is a file management program with a batch module that allows users to choose a folder and apply a set of attributes to all files and/or folders within it. File Sheriff also offers an icon creator. In File Sheriff, users can add pictures, movies, text files or other compatible media and have icons automatically created for them. Users can easily generate icon previews, rename music files based on their ID3 tags, batch search and apply file attributes, and edit hidden file options. Set the bundle bit, custom icon setting and visibility for any file or folder. The most powerful feature of File Sheriff is the Batch module. Find and replace operations allow users to choose a folder, search for a set of matching attributes and apply a set of attributes to files found.
