I personally don't want Silverlight anywhere near my phone....Have you installed it on your computer and then either moved the file folder, renamed, misplaced or deleted it, intentionally or by accident....Good luck reinstalling or updating it, or even removing it.... The silverlight happens all the time that if you can't find the folder auto-updates won't be complete and it will just keep popping up and reminding you...constantly......I hate programs like that...

The title is somewhat misleading. It's more like Microsoft is allowing Silverlight to deliver content in HTML, HTTP and MPEG standards that the iPhone is compatible with. From the iPhone's perspective, Silverlight doesn't exist. The iPhone is simply getting H.264 MPEG-4 in a HTML5 VIDEO tag sent via HTTP. Content providers have been able to do this for some time, even with Flash, although few choose to do so. All you need to do is use the normal Flash embed, but in the check to see if Flash plugin is available in the browser, instead of linking to where one can download and install Flash, place the HTML5 VIDEO tag that uses the same H.264 MPEG-4 file being played in the Flash player. Alternatively, you don't have to get all fancy as a content provider, simply make sure you're using H.264 MPEG-4 files with your Flash player as .mp4 files instead of .flv or f4v files, and then provide a simple link to that file where you place the Flash player. If for some reason your Flash player can't handle .mp4 files, then you'd need to encode 2 files one for the link and one for the Flash player.

Wow. I figured Apple would of approved Flash before they approved silverlight.
