Check out this video comparing the new Portrait Lighting feature available on the iPhone X versus real professional studio lights.
Daniel DeArco writes, "My friend got an iPhone X last week and we got curious about how it would do against an actual studio lighting setup. Backdrop aside, the portrait lighting effects do seem to have a similar look from far away. I'm convinced that the, "untrained", eye would still find the images pleasing to look at... then again, I'm pretty open-minded. What do you guys think? This is not the normal type of video I would post, but since I work a lot in studio with light, I figured I might as well experiment with a video :)."
Take a look at the results below!

A more well thought out comparison would have involved both shots being taken indoors in the same studio under the same lighting.

“Backdrop aside”? Really, compare apples to apples(no pun intended) because it does matter.
