Not to be outdone by Conde Nast, Time Inc is demonstrating a tablet version of its Sports Illustrated magazine.
"Nobody reads the magazine on the Website," says Sports Illustrated editor Terry McDonell. "That's a firehose. This is the opposite of a firehose."
MediaMemo notes that while Conde Nast aligned itself with Adobe who is working on software to create e-editions and reader software to consume them. Time Inc. is creating a more conceptual concept which is not committed to any particular platform.
