I guess this is to push apps for WinMo7, WebOs, Symbian, Maemo and maybe Android (the last 3 have their own market apps) but since a lot of ppl still buy iPhones thinking that it's a real smartphone and when they find out is not then they return it, also that plenty of ppl ask for the option to install apps as a point for purchase (yup some ppl asks for those things but never ever get to use them).

Wow, seems like the whole Global telecommunications & technology industry is determind to bring down Apple's reign over selling mobile handset apps.

AT&T was the last person I thought would try to Rival iTunes since you know... they exclusively have the iPhone.
