The new iPhone 12 with 5G is set to launch earlier than usual in South Korea, according to the Korea Herald. Apple is purportedly looking to attract more 5G users and South Korea already offers various 5G services.

Industry insiders said Apple is apparently looking to release its first 5G-supporting iPhone family in South Korea early since the country already offers various 5G services. South Korea became the first country in the world to commercialize 5G telecommunications in April 2019. The country had nearly 8 million 5G users as of July, according to the science ministry data.

Rumors predict that the iPhone 12 could be unveiled on October 13th and go on sale October 23rd in select markets. In the past, Apple has released the iPhone in South Korea about a month after its initial release.

We're expecting Apple to release four new models of the iPhone 12 which will allegedly be called the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

The iPhone 12 Pro Max will reportedly support the 28GHz band for 5G which isn't currently supported by Samsung or LG in South Korea. However, local telecom operators say the faster speeds provided by the 28GHz band may not be seen as support for the band isn't fully established at the carrier level.
