Traffic Control Game 1.0 Released

Atinco America has introduced Traffic Control Game 1.0, their traffic control simulation for the iPhone and iPod touch. A virus has infected the computer that controls the city's traffic lights. Human operators/players must take over and try to achieve the smoothest flow of traffic and fewest accidents on the busy city streets of Miami. By controlling different stop lights at intersections, players prevent collisions and traffic jams while ambulances, motorcycles, school buses, sports cars, tractor trailers, buses, police cars, fire trucks and cars travel at various speeds. Streets are seen in overhead view, complete with homes, buildings, lanes, tunnels, lights and vehicles.

There are 5 levels of playing difficulty, and 5 stages in each level. Points are awarded for vehicles that pass through intersections safely within the time limit. More vehicles, lanes, lights and intersections are introduced as gameplay difficulty increases. Vehicles have 4 different characteristic speeds, and 3 different point values. As an aid to traffic controllers, the number of vehicles stopped at each intersection is displayed, and a warning given when the number approaches a dangerous amount. Realistic sound effects accompany vehicles and crashes.

Traffic Control Game 1.0 includes built-in GPS assist to determine your location and help record or publish your scores. A world-wide scoreboard for each of the 5 levels can be displayed. A challenge mode allows users to compare scores using one of the major email portals or their own internet provider.
