I JBd my iPhone 3G, 3.1.3, 7.18, 5.12 with spirit. It was very easy to do. The problem I have is afterwards my Apps app is gone. It was in the dock. Any ideas?

It sound interesting, but there are some unclear things no website explain : - My iPhone is already jailbreaked using blackra1n. Can I use Spirit to have a "untethered" jailbreak ? - Will I loose my cydia's app ? Thanks a lot

it took 2 seconds for the jailbreak complete, and about 10 seconds for cydia to reorganize on my iphone 3gs 3.1.3 5.12 shiiiiet is nicce the best jailbreak thus far, quick and painless and no steps involved just a click of a button. dev team. comex is the shit. thanks for everything.

Yes, I got the same thing. I have the 3.1.3 MC, What I did in order to work was to reset the iPhone, and re-run the Spirit software (It was displayed the black screen with the silver apple), and this second time worked great!

HERE IS A FIX FOR THOSE WITH "STUCK ON REBOOT". I'm using a Macbook Pro and iphone 3g with 3.1.3 and itunes 9.1.1 I tried numerous times to install Spirit but my phone would get stuck in the reboot mode of Spirit. This is what I did to finally get it to work: Put phone in recovery mode & restore. Launch Spirit & follow directions up to step 5. As soon as the Quit notification comes up on your computer, disconnect iphone from computer. Reboot unconnected!!!!! Took a minute or so til my phone rebooted and then I launched Cydia. Hope this helps you.

I can't even get the Spirit application to recognize the iPhone 3Gs is connected! I connect phone and iTunes recognizes it and tells me phone must be restored. However once restore is clicked I receive an error message stating the phone cannot be restored due to error 23. I am still stuck in recovery mode (itunes icon with usb cord) I am using a MacBook Pro, iPhone 3Gs with 3.1.3 and iTunes 9.1.1. I so thought Spirit was the greatest thing on earth before this!!

at first all looked perfect but after 1minute it went into the lock-screen. after I unlocked the screen (not the phone) I couldn't find my apps anymore. It happened twice, every time after i tried cydia. When i launched Cydia, it said something with '...rearranging the apps...' is it cydia or spirit messing with my apps? anyone any idea

Krisss - May 3, 2010 at 4:13pm
OK, tried it a third time. Do not stop cydia the first time you launch it. Wait untill the app automatically switches off. all seems to work. THX a lot

Spirit did not work on my iPhone 3GS on FW 3.1.3. It froze at the spirit screen and never finished. I restarted my phone and it is stuck on the Apple Logo. I am restoring to official Apple FW, it will take over 2 hours to reinstall everything including Navigon. Spirit gets 2 middle fingers.. NOT recommended

Strange that it does not work on our Iphone 3GS and freezes at the end of Spirit install. Someone commented that you can pull the cable as soon as the Quit box appears and then reboot unconnected. The restore was so long and unnerving that I am not in a mood to try this now. In any case OS4 is what we will all want

you can add two more middle fingers to that. total: 4 Middle Fingers to Spirit's bullshit.

Ok, it seems lost of guys confuse about the concepts here. I will explain what is Jailbreak, what is unlock and how to jailbreak, how to unlock your iPhone here. 1. lots of iPhones (2G, 3G, 3GS and 3GS+new bootroom) are locked with AT&T service in the states. If you purchased such a iPhone from the states and try to make it works in your country, you need is unlock your iPhone. How? please read below. This is unlock. Unlock means try to hack the BaseBoard, which is focus on wireless connection with your AT&T SIM card, to work for other SIM card. So, if your BB version is still under 5.11.07, you may use BlackSn0w to unlock your iPhone, but first, you need to jailbreak your phone to install BlackSn0w. How? Please read below 2. App iPhones (2G, 3G, 3GS and 3GS + new bootrom) are tied with Apple APP store, which is provide the 3rd application to iPhone users. as we all know, apple control his APP store very much. that means you can't run lots of amazing applications on your iPhone, if you don't jailbreak it. Jailbreak mean, we are saying NO to apple and control our iPhone by ourself. So we need to put another Application resource into our iPhone, which is Cydia. Cydia provide lots of hacked applications to your iPhone. SO far, if you are using iPhone 2G, 3G and 3GS (without new bootrom), you may jailbreak your iPhone by PwnageTools 3.1.5. If you are using iPhone 3GS with new bootroom, the only way to jailbreak it is with Spirit, which is just released by Comex. So, you guys got it?

Powell Crack
Powell Crack - May 3, 2010 at 3:05am
SHSH blob is for in case something wrong when you jailbreak your iPhone, you can downgrade your iPhone OS to a lower version. SHSH blob is not for jailbreak your iPhone. For example, you have an iPhone 3GS with BB 5.12.1 (the latest one with new bootrom) running iPhone OS 3.1.2, what you need to do is use umbrella backup your SHSH blob now, whatever thru Apple or Saurik. When you try to upgrade your iPhone to 3.1.3 or 4.0 and jailbreak it. if you fail, you may use TinyTSS and your SHSH blob file to restore your iPhone back to 3.1.2. That is the purpose of the SHSH. Got it now?

Powell Crack
Powell Crack - May 3, 2010 at 3:09am
If your Phone is in 3.1.2, that means your BB version is not upgraded yet, thats why you can use BlackSn0w unlock your phone. But if you try to upgrade to 3.1.2 your BB will be upgraded automatically, and you will lost the ability to unlock your BB, AT&T is only acceptable service provider. Got it?
