Netflix to End Support for Older Apple TV Devices on July 31, 2024

Netflix has announced that it will end support for older Apple TV devices on July 31, 2024. The company recently sent an email to subscribers notifying them of the change.

---
Heads up! One of your devices will no longer be supported after Jul 31, 2024
You're receiving this email because you've used Apple TV (2nd generation) and/or Apple TV (3rd generation) with Netflix in the past. Unfortunately, we're sunsetting support for these devices on Jul 31, 2024. We know this can be frustrating, but we're doing this to ensure you maintain the best possible Netflix viewing experience.
---

The 2nd gen Apple TV was released September 1, 2010 (13 years ago), the 3rd gen was released March 7, 2012 (12 years ago), and the 3rd gen rev A was released January 28, 2013 (11 years ago).

If you have the thin Apple TV, it's an old model and will need to be replaced if you plan on continuing with Netflix. Luckily, the Apple TV 4K is on sale right now for its lowest price ever. So, if you need to upgrade, now is a good time!
