AltStore PAL Now Free Thanks to MegaGrant From Epic Games

AltStore PAL, an alternative app marketplace to the Apple App Store in the EU, is now free, thanks to a 'MegaGrant' from Epic Games.

The grant was announced in a post on X:

GOOD NEWS EU 🇪🇺 For innovation in app distribution, Epic Games has granted us a MegaGrant grant that we plan to use to cover Apple's Core Technology Fee going forward — and we won't take it for granted! What does this mean? AltStore PAL is now FREE — no subscription necessary 🎉


Users who have already subscribed will not be charged on their renewal date.

AltStore PAL launched back in April. It arrived with two apps: the all-in-one Nintendo emulator 'Delta,' and 'Clip,' a clipboard manager that can run in the background.
