Apple has seeded the first beta of tvOS 26.1 to developers for testing. The release comes just over a week after the public launch of tvOS 26. The build number for this beta is 23J5543j.
It's not yet clear what is included in this first point update, but it likely addresses bugs and performance issues from the initial release.
tvOS 26 was a significant update that brought the new 'Liquid Glass' design to the big screen, along with functional enhancements to Apple Music Sing and FaceTime. You can find a complete list of changes in the official tvOS 26 release notes.
