Apple has released a new teaser for the second season of "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters," confirming the sci-fi drama will return globally on Friday, February 27, 2026. The preview offers a first look at "Titan X," a new bioluminescent creature that emerges from the ocean to join Godzilla and Kong in the expanding Monsterverse.
The 10-episode season will premiere on Apple TV with the first episode, followed by weekly releases every Friday through May 1. Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell return to lead the cast alongside Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett, and Anders Holm. The new season also adds a slate of guest stars, including Amber Midthunder and Takehiro Hira.
Season two picks up with the future of Monarch in question. The story moves the characters to Kong's Skull Island and a mysterious village where the new Titan surfaces, blurring the lines between friend and foe as a major event looms on the horizon.
Chris Black is back as showrunner. The series is part of Apple's growing investment in the franchise, overseen by executive producer Joby Harold. Apple recently ordered a new spinoff series starring Wyatt Russell that will focus on Lee Shaw's early days as an operative in the 1980s.
