Apple has released the official trailer for the second season of its hit drama "The Last Thing He Told Me," confirming the series will return globally on Friday, February 20, 2026. Starring and executive produced by Jennifer Garner, the show adapts the story from Laura Dave's sequel novel, "The First Time I Saw Him."
The eight-episode season will debut with the first episode, followed by new installments every Friday through April 10. Garner returns as Hannah, alongside Angourie Rice as her stepdaughter Bailey, David Morse, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Owen. The cast also expands this season with the addition of Judy Greer and Rita Wilson.
The new storyline picks up after Owen resurfaces following five years on the run. Hannah and Bailey find themselves in a race to reunite their family before unresolved threats from the past catch up to them. The series is produced by 20th Television and Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine, with Josh Singer and Aaron Zelman serving as co-showrunners.
Apple previously offered a brief glimpse of the new season in a preview reel released last month. The premiere adds to a packed 2026 release slate for the platform, which was rebranded to Apple TV late last year. It also follows through on the company's stated goal to deliver a new original release nearly every week in 2026.
