Como usar la pantalla verde en iMovie '09

Estas son las instrucciones para usar la función de pantalla verde en iMovie '09 para cambiar el fondo de su video.

Paso Uno
Para este tutoríal necesitamos dos videoclips; uno que haya sido grabado con un fondo de pantalla verde y otro que sea el fondo que desea usar.

Inicie iMovie '09 haciendo click en el icono que se encuentra en el dock o en la carpeta de aplicaciones.

Como usar la pantalla verde en iMovie '09

Paso Dos
Click Proyecto nuevo... del menú de archivos

Paso Tres
Dé un nombre al proyecto y después haga click en Crear.

Paso Cuatro
iMovie ahora mostrara su nuevo proyecto en blanco.

Seleccione Importar del menú de Archivo.

Seleccione Películas... del submenú de importación

Seleccione el tamaño de la resolución deseada si se le pregunta y después haga click en el botón de OK. (Grande es usualmente adecuado).

Seleccione dos archivos de películas de su disco duro y haga click en el botón de Importar.

Observe que los dos clips serán agregados a su proyecto.

Paso Cinco
Haga click en Preferencias del menú de iMovie en la parte superior de la pantalla.

De la pestaña General de la ventana de las preferencias de iMovie marque la caja de Mostrar herramientas avanzadas y después cierre la ventana.

Observe que ahora tiene mas herramientas en la ventana del proyecto de iMovie.

Paso Seis
Seleccione una porción del video que quiera usar como su fondo haciendo click y arrastrando su cursor del comienzo al final deseados.

Arrastre el clip del fondo seleccionado del fondo de la ventana de eventos hasta la linea de eventos en la parte superior.

Paso Siete
Después seleccione una porción del video de pantalla verde en la que quiera poner su clip de fondo haciendo click y después arrastrando su cursor del principio y final del clip deseado.

Arrastre este clip del fondo de la ventana de eventos y suéltelo encima del clip de fondo que tiene actualmente en su linea de eventos.

Seleccione Pantalla verde del pop menu que aparece.

Paso Ocho
Su video de pantalla verde ahora habrá sido sobrepuesto automáticamente por el clip de fondo.

Paso Nueve
Si su objeto es estacionario o la pantalla verde no logro acomodar los bordes del videoclip, puede cortar el área usada para la pantalla verde.

Seleccione el video de pantalla verde de su linea de eventos y haga click en el botón de Cortar en la pantalla de previsualización del video.

Arrastre las cuatro esquinas para encuadrar el clip deseado y haga click en Hecho.

Will it work for colours other than green? If I have a very uniform background of, for example, red, will it still be replaced?

Hi, well done, the tutorial explained very well. However, I edit my video (i had a video of a black cat on a colourful background - wanted to change it for a plain, white background) in an exactly the same way as you showed, but unfortunately the background instead of changing completely into white - just overlays and gives a video something similar to TV fuzz effect??? I would be very grateful for your help. thank you

It seems like you didn't quite understand the concept of green screen. In order to place your cat in front of a different background, you would have to shoot a video of the cat in front of a green wall. It is very important that the green background is a very uniform, even green colour. Then you shoot separately the background where you want y7our cat to appear. When your cat video on top of the background video, iMovie will analyse your shot with the cat and make every green pixel transparent, so that the image below it (the video with the background) would show. Since your background was colourful, only the parts where there was some green colour were replaced with whatever video was in the background.
