Apple has shared a new behind-the-scenes video exploring the creation of Titan X, a new monster introduced in "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters."
In the featurette, titled "The Origins of Titan X," the team behind the series breaks down how the massive creature came together, from early storyboards and concept art to the finished visual effects seen on screen.
Titan X made its debut as a massive aquatic threat in the show's recently launched second season, which premiered globally in late February. The new episodes shift the narrative to Kong's Skull Island, blurring the lines between friend and foe as the characters confront an expanding roster of Titans.
The featurette also shows how the production team used LiDAR scanners on the iPad Pro and iPhone Pro to scan real-world environments and visualize the monster's scale during filming.
Apple has leaned heavily into promoting the series and its growing Monsterverse catalog this year. Just before the season two premiere, the company staged a record-breaking drone show over Los Angeles that depicted Titan X alongside Godzilla and Kong in the night sky.
The second season of "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters" is currently streaming on Apple TV+. You can watch the new behind-the-scenes featurette below.
