Apple has set up a 50th-anniversary exhibition at its Apple Park headquarters, showcasing iconic hardware and archival photography from the company's five-decade history. Photos of the exhibit were shared on X by Meriam Al Sultan, offering an inside look at the display. The exhibition is located in Section 2 of the main building and features a sculpture of the special scribble-style rainbow logo created for the milestone.
The exhibit includes physical units of landmark products such as the original 1984 Macintosh and the Bondi Blue iMac G3. Dedicated glass cases trace the evolution of the iPod, featuring the mini, nano, shuffle, and touch models. Another display focuses on the iPhone, arranged to highlight how screen sizes have increased since the 2007 original. The retrospective follows a recent appearance by CEO Tim Cook, who reviewed rare company prototypes and archival materials as part of the anniversary.
High-resolution prints lining the walls highlight key moments from Apple's history and culture. These include a photograph of the original Macintosh team, the iconic pirate flag, and Steve Jobs' "Technology and Liberal Arts" slide. More recent milestones are also featured, including a still from Bad Bunny's halftime show and imagery tied to Apple TV award wins.
A large digital screen plays a loop of historical footage, beginning with the opening of the Steve Jobs Theater, followed by the iconic 1984 Super Bowl ad and early Macintosh commercials, including promotions for Microsoft Office on the Mac. These visuals echo themes from the open letter Cook published to mark the company's April 1, 1976 founding.
The exhibition is part of a broader set of employee-focused celebrations, including a private Paul McCartney concert held on campus. While the display is located in a private area of Apple Park, it offers a rare look at the products, imagery, and moments that shaped Apple's first 50 years.
