iPad 1 vs. iPad 2 Glass: Which is Stronger? [Video]

iFixYouri has performed several tests comparing the strength of the iPad 1 and iPad 2 glass.

We had some pieces of glass laying around the shop and wanted to see if the original iPad glass held up any better than the iPad 2. Is the iPad 2 going to hold up and better than the original? See for yourself. It’s definately lighter, thinner, and yes, stronger. Perhaps the thought of an iPad 2 repair will pass by your mind when you pick up Apple’s latest device.

Useless. It's like testing the car by dropping it from the skyscraper. To bend the glass like this on an iPad you have to bend the iPad which is not going to happen. Scratch resistance, dropping, direct sunlight for long time, extreme temperatures, moisture environment and such tests would be more appreciated.

Yes bending glass with your hands is perfectly fine.

I think there would be alot more things in the iPad that would break before you ever got to that level of bending the whole unit lol

The iPad 2 display takes more abuse (by dropping or placing heavy objects directly on the display) before breaking than the 7" display on the Galaxy Tab and that's good enough for me ;p

Ehhh he seemed a lot more gentle when bending the iPad 2 screen. When he bent the iPad 1 screen he was a lot more aggressive.
